FICTIONAL DEMONSTRATION

A fresh look at
Fern & Field’s website.

Explore the demo, see what we changed and review the illustrative price to make it yours.

An illustrative redesign for a fictional garden studio. This example shows how a proposal explains the work, the scope and the price. It is not an offer to a real business.

This is a separate preview. Your live website hasn’t been changed, and there’s no obligation to proceed.
WHAT WE’VE DONE

Small details.
A clearer whole.

01 · Services, easy to find

Original issue · fictional baseline
In the fictional before example, services sit in a single paragraph.
What changed
Garden design, planting and seasonal care now have separate sections.
Why
Visitors can scan the available services more easily.
Evidence
The three service headings in the demo. ↗

02 · A clearer next step

Original issue · fictional baseline
The fictional before example has no prominent contact route.
What changed
A visible “Discuss your garden” link leads to the demo contact section.
Why
People can find where to start a conversation.
Evidence
The hero contact link and closing contact section. ↗

03 · Room to read on mobile

Original issue · fictional baseline
The fictional before example uses a fixed-width desktop layout.
What changed
The demo stacks its content and adapts its type and spacing to smaller screens.
Why
The information remains readable without horizontal scrolling.
Evidence
Open the demo at a narrow viewport to inspect the layout. ↗

What we’ve kept

  • The fictional service categories: design, planting and seasonal care.
  • A simple introduction and a direct contact route.

Before launch

  • All example copy, service details and artwork need replacing or approval.
  • Domain, email and launch arrangements need confirmation.
  • No booking system, editing dashboard or live enquiry integration is included in this example.

What happens next?

Express your interest. We’ll discuss the scope and outstanding checks, confirm any separately quoted changes, and obtain your final approval before arranging launch. Payment is due once the site goes live.

Minimal pre-launch corrections are included. We confirm the corrections with you before launch; additional work is quoted separately. We launch after your final approval. Payment of the agreed website price is due once the site goes live. Ownership transfers after full payment.

A little about us

Our approach ↗

Good questions.
Clear answers.

Have you changed my current website?

No. The demo is separate. Any live change follows an agreed launch process.

Do I have to buy it?

No. The proposal is there for you to consider.

Who owns the website?

You own the purchased website after payment and can move it elsewhere. Third-party assets remain subject to their own licences.

Are changes included in hosting?

No. Content, design and functionality changes are quoted separately.

How do you approach website performance?

A good website should feel quick and easy to use. We build with lean pages, optimised images and only the scripts the site needs, then check loading and responsiveness on mobile and desktop. Your personalised report explains relevant improvements; results can vary with hosting, connection speed and any added services.

Can I edit it myself?

An editing dashboard is not automatically included. You can ask us to quote for changes or work with another developer. Any included editor will be identified in your proposal.

What happens to my domain and email?

We review those arrangements before launch and agree the required changes.
